Our patients can now reduce wrinkles and improve overall skin quality and do so without long-lasting discomfort, swelling, and redness that are common side-effects of CO2 Lasers. Dr. Sherman has the ability to customize the settings of the CoolPeel™ in order to treat specific skin concerns such as sunspots, freckles, and dark spots. CoolPeel™ provides patients with great results without extended downtime. Even with an aggressive approach, the average downtime does not exceed 7-10 days. Light Laser Peels require no downtime and patients only experience redness, dry skin, and flaking for a few days after the procedure.

Tetra Co2 Laser

The Tetra CO2 Laser System provides Dr. Sherman with the ability for deeper skin resurfacing. If a patient suffers from severe scarring caused by acne or chickenpox, for example, he might opt to treat those with the Tetra CO2 Laser versus the CoolPeel™.

The Tetra CO2 can also be ideal for patients with severe sun damage and deep wrinkles. Tetra CO2 Laser Skin Resurfacing requires more downtime and the healing process may take a few weeks or longer. Not everyone is an ideal candidate for the deeper resurfacing setting,  however, most patients with skin types up to  4-5 can enjoy the many benefits of CoolPeel™.

Can Laser Skin Resurfacing be combined with other Skin Treatments?

Yes, Dr. Sherman often combines the Subnovii Plasma Pen Treatment for fine lines and wrinkles with laser skin resurfacing and offers Virtue RF Microneedling as an additional option for skin rejuvenation.
