Who is a candidate?

Any individual who is unhappy with their facial shape or wants to counter the effects of aging (including wrinkles and volume loss) may be a candidate for treatment with  Neurotoxins or dermal fillers. How do Neurotoxins such as Botox work?

Neurotoxins work by temporarily slowing or stopping the tiny muscle movements that are responsible for wrinkles in the forehead, brow, and eye area.

How long do Neurotoxins last

Neurotoxins last an average of 3-4 months. The exact duration depends on the patient’s age, genetics, and the dose of neurotoxin injected. Some patients experience longer-lasting results with one or the other product, and others swear by alternating the neurotoxins. 

What are dermal fillers made of?

HA fillers such as Restylane products and Juvederm products are made largely of hyaluronic acid, a substance that is naturally produced in the body and which provides nutrients and moisture to the skin. Hyaluronic acid fillers are easy to administer and deliver smooth results. Long-Lasting filler “Radiesse” is made of a water-based gel with calcium hydroxylapatite microspheres. This injectable adds instant fullness and stimulates collagen production to help the skin renew itself over time. *Take note that Radiesse cannot be dissolved easily and can last as long as 1-5 years. 

When will I see the results?

For most patients, results from these treatments are visible instantly. Best results are seen once the initial swelling subsides which is about a week after injections.

How long will results last?

For most patients, results from HA fillers can last anywhere between 4-6months or longer. Results can vary from patient to patient and depend largely on age, genetics, and the specific product injected. Long-lasting fillers such as Restylane Kysse may last as long as 8-months to one year, and Radiesse can last 1 year or longer.
