Does this sound familiar?

  • will it hurt?.

We understand that any procedure can feel intimidating. BodyTite is performed under local anesthesia, so you’ll remain comfortable throughout the treatment. Most patients report only mild soreness or tightness afterward—similar to a workout—rather than pain.

  • will i have scars?

It’s completely normal to be concerned about scarring. BodyTite uses a tiny probe inserted through very small incisions—often no larger than a grain of rice. These entry points typically heal quickly and are strategically placed in discreet areas, leaving little to no visible scarring.

  • how long is recovery time?

We know your time is valuable, and you want to get back to your routine as soon as possible. Recovery with BodyTite is much quicker than traditional surgery. Most patients return to light activity within a few days and resume normal routines in about one week. Mild swelling or bruising may occur but is temporary and manageable.

  • are the results permanent?

It’s completely fair to want lasting results when making this kind of investment in your body. Yes, the fat cells treated with BodyTite are permanently removed. As long as you maintain a stable weight and healthy lifestyle, your results can last for many years.

What you can expect...

Consultation

Step 1

You’ll meet with your doctor to evaluate your cellulite, skin laxity, and aesthetic goals and determine if you’re a good candidate for Avéli, which is designed to treat dimple-type cellulite caused by fibrous septa bands.
During this visit, you’ll also discuss expectations, the number of dimples to be treated, potential results, and any other complementary procedures.

Paperwork

Step 2

After you’re deemed a suitable candidate, you’ll complete medical history forms and consent paperwork. Pre-procedure instructions will be provided, which may include avoiding certain medications (e.g., blood thinners) and alcohol for several days prior to treatment. You may also be asked to take pre-op photos for before-and-after comparison.

Pre-Op

Step 3

On the day of or prior to your procedure, the provider may mark the treatment areas while standing to map the exact cellulite dimples to be addressed.
You’ll be advised to wear loose, comfortable clothing on the day of treatment and to arrange for a driver if sedation is being used (most cases only require local anesthesia).

Day of Prodecure

Step 4

The treatment area is cleansed and numbed using local anesthesia to ensure comfort. A small, handheld device is inserted just beneath the skin through tiny incisions. The device identifies and releases the fibrous septa bands that tether the skin, causing visible dimpling. Each dimple is addressed individually, and the provider visually confirms the release. The procedure typically takes 45–75 minutes, depending on the number of dimples being treated.

Post-Op

Step 5

You return home shortly after the procedure. Mild bruising, swelling, and tenderness are expected for a few days to a week. Compression garments may be recommended for comfort and to reduce swelling. You’ll be advised to avoid strenuous activity for about 1–2 weeks, but many people return to light activities within a few days. Results continue to improve as the swelling subsides, with smoother skin typically visible within weeks.
